About Us

St Joseph Mold and Tool Company (circa 1987) was established to provide industrial art type services to a target market of "Ma and Pa" manufacturers and any hopeful producer of fabricated, molded, shaped, diecast, stamped, bent, machined, or sandcast parts made out of plastic, metal, steel, cast iron or any material available through the material science infrastructure.

Versatility yields efficiency and brings value to a project. Toolmaking versatility consists in having the industrial skills in great depth aquired by years of managing the varied "projects" that have been presented to us as a need by a hopeful entrepreneur. These same "projects" are then processed and returned to the same entrepreneur to be appreciated by both themselves and ourselves as a well-functioning system of production.

In addition to the broad toolmaking, diemaking, moldmaking, machine building, and part fabrication skills our facility is equipped with the valuable complement to personnel skills', the machine tools capable of generating the geometry necessary. These machines are not dedicated to mass production but remain available for the craftsman to perform his varied and numerous short setups and procedures to bring about the completion of a production tool within a very appealing time frame.

Ours is a versatile tool shop: it is an inventors dream. Upstream from the actual toolmaking we are equipped with the solid modeling (Solid Works) setup to bring a part from the mental conception of the entrepreneur to a condition of very useable industrial data. Part modeling is an inexpensive and practical approach to even simple parts. Modeling data is easily conveyed, viewed, updated, related (assembled), and otherwise integrated into the different phases of an overall project. A part model only needs to be done once. The application and integration of this model, once done, are innumerable.

It seems to us that some of the best consumer items are produced by small manufacturing facilities and many of these are family owned. We have mastered the methods of getting these small manufacturing facilities equipped so that they can get their products to market profitably
